Ghana and Togo sign new air services agreement to strengthen connectivity

Ghana and Togo have signed a new Air Services Agreement aimed at boosting airline participation and enhancing air connectivity between the two countries.

The accord was concluded in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, during the ICAO Air Services Negotiations (ICAN) meeting held earlier this month, and is expected to facilitate smoother travel across Africa and beyond.

The ICAN meetings, organised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), bring together countries to negotiate air service agreements, address regulatory challenges, and promote safe, efficient, and sustainable air transport worldwide. These annual negotiations aim to expand air connectivity, support economic growth, and strengthen cooperation between aviation authorities and airlines across different regions.
