Morocco sees 92,000 new businesses formed by October 2025

Morocco recorded the creation of 92,232 new businesses by the end of October 2025, data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) showed, highlighting sustained growth in the country’s entrepreneurial sector.

Of the newly established businesses, 66,391 were legal entities and 25,841 individual enterprises, reflecting active participation across a range of sectors. Commerce led the way, accounting for 35.8 percent of new registrations, followed by construction, public works, and real estate at 19.7 percent, and various services at 17.6 percent. Transport businesses made up 7.7 percent, industrial activities 7.0 percent, hotels and restaurants 5.7 percent, and ICT 2.9 percent. Agriculture, fishing, and financial services each contributed around 1.8 percent.

Regionally, Casablanca-Settat remained the primary hub, hosting 28,748 new businesses, followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (12,601), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (11,779), and Marrakech-Safi (10,524). Other regions registering notable activity included Fès-Meknès (6,351), Oriental (6,165), Souss-Massa (6,149), and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (3,356).

In terms of legal structure, single-member limited liability companies (SARL-AU) dominated with 64.9 percent, followed by limited liability companies (SARL) at 34.4 percent. Joint-stock companies (SA) represented 0.2 percent, and other forms made up 0.5 percent.

OMPIC’s figures underscore Morocco’s dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, driven largely by trade, construction, and service-based sectors, and concentrated in major economic regions, according to analysts.
