Solana Mobile begins SKR token airdrop to Seeker phone users

Solana Mobile has started distributing its long-awaited SKR token via airdrop to eligible users of its Seeker smartphone and select developers, marking a major milestone in the mobile blockchain ecosystem tied to the Solana network.

The airdrop went live on January 21, 2026, with claims opening through the built-in Seed Vault Wallet on Seeker devices. A 90-day window has been set for recipients to claim their allocations before any unclaimed tokens are returned to the airdrop pool.

SKR has a fixed total supply of 10 billion tokens, and roughly 20 percent (around 1.96 billion SKR) has been allocated for this initial distribution. Of that amount, approximately 1.82 billion SKR is earmarked for over 100,900 Seeker phone users, while about 141 million SKR is allocated to 188 developers who shipped qualifying decentralized apps during the platform’s first season.

The distribution structure uses engagement-based tiers, meaning users who interacted more with the Seeker ecosystem and its decentralized app marketplace during “Season 1” receive larger allocations than less active participants.

SKR is designed to serve as the core utility and governance token for the Solana Mobile ecosystem. It plays a role in on-chain governance, staking rewards, and participation in network security through “Guardians,” a system responsible for verifying devices and curating the app environment. Holders can stake their SKR tokens and earn rewards under an inflation schedule that gradually decreases over time.

To claim the airdrop, Seeker owners must open the Seed Vault Wallet and use the Activity Tracking tab, ensuring they have a small amount of SOL in their wallet to cover transaction fees. Developers can claim their allocations through the platform’s publishing portal.

The airdrop represents a broader effort by Solana Mobile to decentralize mobile ownership and application engagement, rewarding early adopters and builders in its ecosystem while encouraging long-term participation and governance within the network.
