On AFCON 2025, which saw supporters and teams from across Africa compete, Louzán noted that some of the disruptive incidents witnessed during the final match were disappointing and harmful to football’s reputation, asserting that “we have seen scenes … that damage the image of world football.”

The 2030 World Cup, a unique edition marking the centenary of the first World Cup, is being jointly hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with group matches and early rounds shared across the three nations. Louzán’s remarks confirm that Spain will be the venue for the tournament’s final match, scheduled for summer 2030.
