Orange Maroc has unveiled a suite of consumer products designed to capitalize on Morocco’s growing digital connectivity, including customizable 5G mobile plans and a next-generation Wi-Fi 7 router.
The launch comes as the North African kingdom strengthens its digital infrastructure, with mobile penetration exceeding 148 percent and internet access reaching more than 35 million users, according to DataReportal.
At a presentation in Casablanca, Orange Maroc introduced the Yo Max 5G plans, which allow subscribers to select tailored services based on individual needs, such as video and music streaming, gaming, and e-learning. The plans are available in six tiers, priced between 99 and 649 dirhams (approximately $11 to $71), offering data allowances from 160 gigabytes up to unlimited use. Customers can manage their subscriptions through Orange’s Maxit app.
“The Yo Max 5G plans are designed to give our customers flexibility and control over their mobile experience,” said an Orange Maroc spokesperson. “Users can choose services that suit their lifestyle, ensuring that connectivity supports both work and leisure in a fast-evolving digital environment.”
Orange Maroc also introduced the Livebox 7, described as a global first in consumer routers with Wi-Fi 7 technology. The device incorporates prplOS, an operating system enabling applications to be installed directly on the router. Built-in features include a VPN, parental controls, and ten smart antennas to ensure stable, high-speed connectivity throughout the home. The platform also allows local developers to create applications tailored to Moroccan users, expanding Orange’s Nova Box ecosystem.
“With Livebox 7, we are responding to the increasing demand for home connectivity driven by streaming, gaming, e-learning, and multiple screens per household,” the company said. “This router supports Morocco’s digital transformation by providing next-generation speeds and a platform for innovation.”
Morocco’s telecom market has seen rapid growth in recent years. According to DataReportal, the country had 57.1 million mobile connections at the end of 2025, highlighting widespread use of multiple SIM cards per household and individual. Internet penetration has surpassed 92 percent, underscoring the strong demand for high-speed digital services.
Industry analysts said the combination of flexible 5G plans and advanced home connectivity devices positions Orange Maroc to capture a growing segment of tech-savvy consumers. “Operators are increasingly shifting from basic connectivity to integrated digital experiences,” said telecom analyst Hicham El Fadili. “Products like Yo Max 5G and Livebox 7 cater to both high-demand users and households seeking stable, multi-device connectivity.”
The introduction of customizable mobile plans and Wi-Fi 7 routers aligns with Morocco’s broader push toward digital inclusion and smart home technologies. By providing platforms for developers and integrating multiple services into one ecosystem, Orange Maroc aims to create new opportunities for innovation while enhancing user experience.
Orange Maroc’s move reflects a global trend in which telecom operators are pairing high-speed mobile networks with home routers capable of handling increasing device density and bandwidth-intensive applications. With the Yo Max 5G plans and Livebox 7, the company expects to attract both urban and suburban consumers eager for personalized and reliable connectivity.
The company said both products are available immediately, with subscriptions and devices accessible through Orange Maroc’s retail outlets and online platforms.
