Apple is preparing to publicly unveil a new version of its Siri voice assistant powered by Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence models in the second half of February 2026, according to reporting by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The updated Siri, which will mark the first tangible result of Apple’s recently announced AI partnership with Google, aims to fulfil promises first made in June 2024 about making Siri more capable and context-aware.
The Gemini-powered version of Siri will reportedly draw on Google’s advanced large language models to improve the assistant’s performance, including better understanding of personal context and on-screen content, capabilities that Apple has struggled to deliver with its previous Apple Intelligence system. The initial February unveiling is expected to demonstrate these capabilities ahead of a broader rollout later in the year.

The launch is part of a wider strategy that will see Apple integrate next-generation AI features into its ecosystem, with an even more conversational and chatbot-like Siri expected to be showcased at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June 2026.
Apple’s decision to partner with Google for Gemini follows confirmation by the company that Google’s technology will power not only Siri but a range of future Apple Intelligence features as part of a multi-year collaboration between the two tech giants.
