Indian startup Emergent, a vibe‑coding platform focused on AI-powered automation for developers, has raised US$70 million in its latest funding round, boosting its valuation to $300 million, according to the company and sources familiar with the deal.
The round was led by Tiger Global, with participation from existing investors including Sequoia Capital India and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Emergent plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, expand its engineering team, and scale global operations, particularly in the U.S. and Southeast Asia.
Emergent’s platform allows developers to rapidly create software using AI-assisted “vibe-coding,” which combines natural-language prompts with code scaffolding to speed up application building. The startup reported annual recurring revenue (ARR) of US$50 million and is targeting US$100 million ARR by April 2026, reflecting strong demand for AI-driven developer tools.

Co-founder and CEO Ananya Rao stated, “This funding validates our vision of simplifying software creation with AI. We’re focused on helping developers be more productive while scaling our technology to meet global needs.” The startup has also announced plans to launch a new AI-powered analytics suite for enterprise customers in the second quarter of 2026.
Emergent’s rapid growth mirrors the global surge in AI adoption among software developers, where tools that reduce coding friction are increasingly prized. The startup now aims to expand its footprint into North America and Europe while continuing to serve its growing developer community in India.
