Qatar Airways to raise Dubai services to five daily flights

Qatar Airways will significantly expand its operations between Doha and Dubai, increasing frequencies to as many as five daily flights starting June 2026, as the airline continues rebuilding and strengthening its regional network.

The carrier said the expansion will be rolled out in phases from June 5, beginning with an increase from two to three daily flights on the Doha–Dubai route. A fourth daily service is scheduled to be introduced from June 15, while a fifth frequency will be reinstated during the summer season.

The additional services will operate between Hamad International Airport (DOH) and Dubai International Airport (DXB), using a mix of Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft, depending on scheduling and demand.

Qatar Airways said the move is aimed at meeting rising passenger demand and improving travel flexibility between the two Gulf aviation hubs, which are key routes for both business and leisure travel.

“With this expansion, Qatar Airways reinforces its commitment to enhancing connectivity within the region and supporting increased passenger flows between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates,” the airline said.

Once fully implemented, the airline will operate up to 35 weekly flights on the Doha–Dubai corridor, marking one of its densest schedules in the Middle East network.

The expansion comes as the airline steadily restores capacity across the region following earlier disruptions linked to geopolitical tensions in parts of the Middle East. Qatar Airways has recently resumed operations to several UAE destinations, including Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, as part of a broader network rebuild.

The carrier said it now serves more than 20 destinations across the Middle East and is on track to restore its global network to over 160 destinations during the summer travel season.

The airline also advised passengers to regularly check its official website and mobile application for schedule updates, and to ensure their contact details remain up to date to receive operational notifications.

Industry analysts say the increase reflects both recovering regional travel demand and intensified competition among Gulf carriers as air traffic rebounds across major transit hubs in the Middle East.
